As a community, we endeavor to live in the openness of heart and compassionate understanding that embraces all life. As a spiritual organization, we are collectively organized to thrive through listening, sharing, and caring for one another. As individuals in awe of the Divine, we support and respect one another’s personal spiritual path and spiritual practices.
- Reverend Karen Lindquist. Co-founder & Co-minister of Interfaith Community Sanctuary
The History of the Interfaith Amigos
The group appeared on PBS, NPR, BBC, the CBS Evening News; were featured in The New York Times, The Christian Century, The Christian Science Monitor, and The Jewish Independent; and spoke at multiple TEDx events
Now these three religious leaders and spiritual teachers speak regularly, to one another and to community groups. They teach that knowledge and spiritual practice both play a role building interfaith relationships. Knowledge helps build bridges, and spiritual practice develops the character traits that support ongoing cooperation. Both can contribute to an urgently needed transformation in the culture and spirit of our communities.
